Rain, rain, come again

It’s snacking time, says my brain

Rain and delicious crispy snacks go hand-in-hand. You can’t think of a perfect rainy day without imagining a sizzling cup of tea in one hand and biting some lip-smacking snacks in the other.

So without further ado, let’s look at these yummy snacking options that you can devour while it’s raining outside.

  1. Pakoras

Pakoras are a must-have for monsoons. Nothing can beat the crunchy onion pakora with mint sauce or tamarind chutney. It speaks of home and reminds of mom’s pakoras to those who stay away. The best thing about pakoras is that you have a variety of options, like onion pakora, potato pakora, cauliflower pakora, paneer pakora, and it’s quite easy to make too.

Having a plateful of pakoras with a nice cup of tea, what else do we need in life, right?

  1. Samosa

The ideal Indian snack!

While we all love having samosas all year round, enjoying one during monsoon adds all together different feels to the entire vibe. We can’t think of eating samosas without some curd, tamarind chutney, green chillies on the side – they just elevate the taste to another level. Eat it dipping in your sides or make a samosa chaat, the choice is yours. In the end, it all boils down to the question – what do you like more? The crispy end or the spicy filling?

  1. Corn

Going somewhere on a rainy day, catching a roadside stall selling corn, and stopping by to have a quick snack – we all can relate to this memory. While you cannot enjoy eating roadside corns currently, it can’t stop you from enjoying them at home. All you’ve got to do is roast it, season it with salt, red chilly, and lemon, and your favourite monsoon snack is ready!

  1. Cheese Balls

Feeling like eating something cheesy?

It’s the perfect time to indulge in the gooey goodness of cheese balls. Crispy outside and stringy cheesy inside – it feels like heaven. Dip into a side sauce and it becomes irresistible. Kids love it, and so does adults.

It’s a nice starter for a cheat day if you’re on a diet, now how about that 😉

  1. French Fries

Who doesn’t love potatoes!

And who doesn’t love french fries? It’s crispy, it’s hot, it’s everything good. We all can sneak some deep-fried snacks once in a while and what better than relishing fries on a rainy day with friends and family. The only thing to worry about is – who gets the last piece?
